Mobile Police said the man in the middle of a standoff with officers used his young daughter as a human shield during the incident.
Levy Washington, 23, was arrested Monday after the hours-long standoff on Sperry Road in Theodore.
Investigators believe the incident started with a domestic dispute between 23-year-old Levy Washington and the mother of his 4-year-old child.
During the standoff, police said Washington held a gun to the little girl's head and threatened to harm her and himself. He surrendered after four hours.
Washington's bond is set at $156,000 but he will be staying behind bars because he already out on probation for previous charges.
